Shands Hospital at the University of Florida is a Level 1 designated trauma center. The Poseidon Group, Inc., today announced that Shands at the University of Florida has entered into a license agreement for the implementation of The Poseidon Groups NavigatorWebT Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). Through this multi-year agreement, The Poseidon Group, a leading provider of emergency department (ED) documentation and web-based electronic medical record (EMR) solutions for the healthcare industry, will seamlessly integrate the NavigatorWebT EDIS with the hospitals existing information system creating a 360-degree view of patient care. The concurrent deployment of al five modules of the solution to Shands at UF is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2004.
